Running header over 2 master pages

Recommended Posts

Hello all

I new to Affinity and I am currently on the 30 day trial. I am trying to create a recipe sheet. Page 1 is different to page 2 and any subsequent pages.

I have set up my Master page for the first 2 pages without any problems. It is a two page spread using running headers so that the top of each page has the same title, and sheet number (two separate text boxes).

I have created a second Master page should I need additional pages. This has the same text boxes at the top with the same running header fields. However the running headers do not work, the text boxes just show "Link".

How do I get the running heading to work across different master pages?

_________

Edit: FIXED

I had a text box that had the word "link" in, that had been set to the same style as my sheet number box. I either did this by accident whilst figuring the boxes out or the next box I created kept the same style as the one I had just changed.

Hi @Phoenix8 and welcome to the forums. I'm glad you got this figured out.

Are you using the new Running Headers feature in Publisher 2.1 or did you create the running headers manually? The new feature can pick up the header name based on paragraph style. For more information on this feature, go to this page and refer to the Naming Pages section:

Cheers
