nmuzekari Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 The Warp Tool is virtually useless for creating midpoint perspectives as there's nothing to snap from that point. I have to fudge it, or pull in lines from the side to try to keep it aligned as I pull up or down from the middle. As a result, I refer back to Inkscape that at least allows me a way to do it right. Am I missing something? Please add a midpoint node to the Warp Tool option of Perspective Quote
Circulus Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 Which warptool? Photo or Designer? Quote I think Serif wants us to be only creative in finding workarounds to use their tools. nmuzekari Posted June 6, 2023 Author Posted June 6, 2023 Sorry, Designer ... the perspective option Quote
Circulus Posted June 6, 2023 Posted June 6, 2023 Use a guide as the nodes of the warpgroup can snap to guides if set to snap to guides in the assistantmanager. You can use the alignment tool to select all three nodes aka left/middle/right and evenly distribute them. Hold shift while using only the middle node to constrain it's position up or downwards or at 45 degree angles. nmuzekari Posted June 6, 2023 Author Posted June 6, 2023 (edited) Thanks I will try using a guide and snapping to it. Regarding the nodes... when I select text and then select Warp Tool > Perspective, only four nodes show up, one in each corner. Are you saying I can double click near the middle to add a node and then use the alignment tool to evenly distribute? Edited June 6, 2023 by nmuzekari Quote

It doesn't seem to work with warptool. Sorry to have misinformed you here. Â Quote I think Serif wants us to be only creative in finding workarounds to use their tools. nmuzekari Posted June 6, 2023 Author Posted June 6, 2023 Got you no worries Seems like using the guides and snapping is the way to go My plan when I get back to the design will be to bring a guide over to the center of the text, then add a node there, then pull up from that node holding shift ... and based on what you've shared, that should do it to warp perspective from the exact middle so only thing I want to make sure and clarify with you is when I add a perspective warp to text and see the four nodes, I can add an additional node to that perspective warp selection and that will warp from that newly added node, right? Circulus Posted June 6, 2023 Posted June 6, 2023 Away from pc now so you'll need to try out yourself. Quote I think Serif wants us to be only creative in finding workarounds to use their tools.
