Hi,

is there any way to straighten a drawn line in designer? When I draw curves and such they end up looking crooked or the joints aren't aligned properly. I don’t have an example picture at the moment but, in illustrator, you can double click on an anchor point and it straightens whatever line is attached to said anchor point. Is there any way to do something like this in affinity?

Welcome to the forums @SergeantLonnie

You can change the straight/curved nature of a Node in various ways but neither will ‘straighten the line’ because the node will stay in the same place.

You can make any Node a straight or curved node, when using the Node Tool, by either:
a) selecting the node and using the relevant “Convert” icon in the Context Toolbar, or;
b) hovering the mouse pointer over a node and following the instructions given in the Status Bar at the bottom of the application window (action differs between OSes).

In some cases you can straighten a line but whether this will work will depend on the curve at the time (it doesn’t work nicely for all curves). We would need to see the curve, and the nodes on that curve, to determine if it’s possible.
