Mxwell Posted March 30, 2023 Posted March 30, 2023 Hi, I'm trying to create an annotated arrow in AD, but the stroke of the arrow is cut of by the bottom border of the group when grouping the arrow with the label. How can I prevent this? for technical accuracy, I'd like the arrow to start and stop at a corner point of the bounding box. Thanks, Max Example.afdesign Quote
GarryP Posted March 30, 2023 Posted March 30, 2023 Welcome to the forums @Mxwell I’m pretty sure this happens because you have set Constraints on the child layers and when you group them the group becomes a Constraints Group and Constraints groups are clipped to the bounding box. I had similar problems when I was making a some ‘dimension lines’. The way I got round it was to create a slightly larger invisible rectangle around the whole group, but that’s not ideal. I don’t know of a better way to do this but I’d be interested to hear of one. Quote
Mxwell Posted March 30, 2023 Author Posted March 30, 2023 Hey @GarryP yeah the Constraints Group seems to be the problem. With that info, I was also able to find this: I can maybe see from a programming pov why it was easier to implement if it clips, but nevertheless, I'd consider this almost a bug. Quote
