Problem with text flow

Converting to Publisher 2 from QuarkXpress. Using OmniMarkz to convert existing files.

If I delete the para mark at the end of the left-hand column, the final para in the left column flows to the right column. In other words, I cannot get text to flow into the empty part of the left-hand column. There's nothing there - no empty picture frame and nothing that should be stopping the flow.

Any ideas? Tx!

Hi @viclennard and welcome to the forums. Check the Paragraph panel > Flow Options and se if Keep Paragraph Together is selected. If you remove the paragraph break between two paragraphs, turning it into a single paragraph, when this option is checked, Publisher would have no choice but to move the paragraph to the next column to keep it all together. The paragraph would be one line taller than the frame had room for.
