error message Cannot load representation of type PUEditingInitialPayloadTypeIdentifier

hi. Ive have been using and enjoying your product as an extension to apple photo. (Sometimes a bit glitchy but usually just works on the second attempt when first opening and linking). My problem today is whenever I try to edit a photo I get this error message and cannot sort it out. Cannot load representation of type PUEditingInitialPayloadTypeIdentifier. Can you help please.

Hi Mark and welcome to the forum. That's an Apple Photos error message and it happens with all apps that have extensions for Photos. If you google it you'll find threads on Apple's support sites for it, it appears to be a problem that comes and goes. I haven't seen anybody offer a solution. I suggest restarting your Mac, it may not help but it's worth a try.

thanks. And as ever, of course,apple told me its nothing to do with Photos on the Mac! As you say comes and goes - just a pain when newly home from a trip ready to edit!

J'ai eu le même problème . Je l'ai résolu avec l'utilitaire OnyX. Nettoyer le système a résolu le problème pour moi .Attention quand même avec ce logiciel. Ne toucher à rien d'autre dans les options.

 

I had the same problem . I solved it with OnyX utility. Cleaning the system solved the problem for me. Be careful with this software. Do not touch anything else in the options.
