Andyboy Posted January 21, 2023 Posted January 21, 2023 I am laying out a book. Imported the text from MS word. Text came in and flowed to 170 pages. I need to remove pages in the front section. A blank page for example that should not be there. (But a blank page that is an empty text box linked to pages and their text boxes before and after.) When I delink a page's text box, the entire document goes blank. I know how to delink. I am fairly new to this and going insane try to figure it out. Thanks. Quote
MikeTO Posted January 21, 2023 Posted January 21, 2023 Hi Andy and welcome to the forum. There may be a page break at the start of the imported text which is causing the first page's frame to appear blank. The first thing you should do to help clean up imported text is to turn on Text > Show Special Characters so you can see things like page breaks. You can see al list of special character symbols at the link below. To get rid of a page break, click anywhere in that blank first frame and press backspace (delete on Mac). Clicking in a frame with a page break will place the cursor to the right of the page break.
