boeonoz Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 As you can see in upper (V1 and V2.0.0) doesn't have font issue like below (V2.0.3), is there anything to fix this? My Typography script already in local setting. To me I still have to use old version (V2.0.0) since I still cannot find a way to fix this. Thanks Quote
MikeTO Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 Hi and welcome to the forum. Could you please make a test document in v1 to share here? Using v1, copy that first line of text with the problem to a new document and save it. Thank you Quote Download a free PDF manual for Affinity Publisher 2.6 Download a quick reference chart for Affinity's Special Characters Affinity 2.6 for macOS Sequoia 15.3, MacBook Pro (M4 Pro) and iPad Air (M2)

Thank you I have attached V1 save file and also include font in this upload (I hope it is correct one, Google Font - Noto Sans Thai UI). Font just for sample purpose I hope there is no issue with their licensing. Thank you. Sample Text.afdesign Quote
MikeTO Posted January 18, 2023 Posted January 18, 2023 Hi, I saw the same issue as you, it worked in v1 but not in v2. But then I uninstalled the fonts you sent me (version 2.000) and replaced them with the latest version of these fonts from Google's site (version 2.001) and it worked well in Affinity 2.0.3. So, please edit your last post (click the ... in its upper right) and delete the font files from the post to avoid issues, and then download the latest version of this font from Google: https://fonts.google.com/noto/specimen/Noto+Sans+Thai Install this font and then restart Affinity. Please let me know if this solves it for you. It seems to be normal Noto Sans not the UI one, but after testing it still having same symptom. V1.10.5 don't having this issue V2.0.0 don't having this issue V2.0.3 having issue Thank you. Quote
MikeTO Posted January 19, 2023 Posted January 19, 2023 Oh, I didn't notice the UI in the name Noto Sans Thai UI. You did have the most current version which can be downloaded from here: https://github.com/notofonts/noto-fonts/tree/main/hinted/ttf/NotoSansThaiUI But please delete the font files from this forum to avoid issues. This font isn't on the public Google Fonts site so you have to sort through GitHub to find the most recent version. I'm not familiar enough with Google's font efforts to know what this means. Regardless, the accents aren't working properly in v2 so this is probably a bug. BTW you used some unsupported characters (1, 2, and !). Affinity handled these okay but Photoshop shows boxes for these characters so be careful about using unsupported characters. I still wonder why V1 and V2.0.0 (In my finding) handle this perfectly (If set correct Typography Script) but V2.0.3 is not, I do hope they will do something with next updates. Thank you again. Quote
