Save As hangs Affinity Photo 2

Affinity Photo 2 hangs with the Save As dialog open if I open an image file, make changes that create layers, and then choose Save As. Has happened with multiple images. I don't know if this will affect Save As with Affinity Photo files. It's come up mostly when editing TIFFs. There is no chance to save work. The dialog immediately causes a beachball. OS reports Affinity Photo 2 as unresponsive and it seems to remain that way.

OS version: macOS Ventura 13.1

Temporary work-around for others running into this issue:

1. Open the image file.
2. Make no changes.
3. Choose Save As, and save it as an Affinity Photo 2 file (.afphoto).
4. Close it.
5. Open the Affinity Photo file.

(Note that this does not resolve the issue, and I don't know if it will always work.)

Hi Frederick - you say it's hanging when you choose Save As. Does the Save dialog open at all? If so, what does it show and could you share a screenshot?

Where is the Save As dialog defaulting to? A cloud drive, a local drive, an external drive, or a network drive?
