Photo save file format Mac OS

Recommended Posts

Hi,book

Only recently installed Affinity Photo on my MacBook and I've never used this product before and I'm also new to Mac and more used to Windows OS. At the moment I'm on the trial period so not sure if this version doesn't have full functionality until purchased. However, I'm I'm making adjustments to some photos and using Save As. When the Save As box comes up I can't see a away of choosing a file type (eg. Jpeg etc.) and it just seems to save all photos with the file extension of .affinityphoto. Is there a way to change the file format so I can save in Jpeg? I've looked through the Settings while in the application but I can't see anything there to change either. Any help will be appreciated.

Many thanks

Welcome to the forums @RayF66

The trial versions of the software are fully-functional except for the amount of time you can use them for.

Saving (or Save As) in the Affinity applications will only normally save as an Affinity document.
If you want to produce a different file type then you need to Export instead.
