Guide lines in Master A Publisher are not visible in document

I have put guide lines in a Master A but I can't for the live of me get them visible in the document itself. Not really feeling like putting them on each page (again... this is an opened document and despite 'show guidelines' and 'show bleed' it does not happen)

Does anyone know where I go wrong?

I also put in 2 lines to 'replace' the guide lines in the Master A (out of desperation, mind you) but these do not show in the document itself.

The only thing I can think of is the page you're viewing isn't actually based on that master. Right click the page in the Pages panel and click Apply Master.

Alternatively if you're using facing pages, perhaps you added the guides to the left master and the page is a right page.

@MikeTO I had a look and indeed, I hadn’t applied a Master to anything ha ha. It’s sorted now, thanks!
