Designer - working across multiple art boards

Hi, I'm designing a backdrop for an exhibition stand made up of four vertical panels (2000 x 800mm).

I want to be able to insert graphics & pics which span more than one panel.

I created four artboards but my graphics only show up on the one they are inserted on.

Can someone explain how to set this up please?

Another way might be (though I didn't tested/tried that out) to reuse Symbols for your graphics/pics, which you then place shared on all related artboards in the wanted overlapping manner to form the whole. So if a shared Symbol is changed, it changes on all related artboards too. - Though for combining the artboards on output/export, you will still go the Export Persona way as described in some of the above referenced threads!
