Automatic adaptive darks for astrophotography

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am using a DSLR for astrophotography, and a problem with it is that since it's not cooled, the temperature at which dark frames are taken would not match well with that of the light frames (and the temperature variation through the night).  A possible solution is to use adaptive darks - taken at a certain temperature and length, and then the software could scale them appropriately, and automatically, to best match the light frames.  The "Images Plus" software has this feature, and it would be really awesome if it could be implemented in Affinity Photo.

Thanks very much for listening!

Regards,

Julio
