Hi Matt, Welcome to the forum. :) I found the same thing also, regarding sensitivity. My solution is the same as I used in Photoshop, when the eye was too close to other red objects that I wanted to retain: Draw a rough marquee around the eye & then use the red eye tool inside the selected area.
