Old version content does not show in 1.9.0

I have a small poster created in the previous version of publisher. 1 page, 4 layers, A4. On loading it into V1.9 to edit

  1. The poster shows correctly in the pages summary on the left.
  2. The layers show correctly on the right
  3. Only the wireframe shows in the working area, not the content.

Update: The same is true for all 1.9 packages and for new as well as old documents. The while suite is unusable for me at the moment. as I only get wireframe in the edit window.

I am using a mac mini late 2014 16GB Ram, Mac OS 11.2 (Big Sur latest update)

  1. Switch to the Designer Persona
  2. View menu > View Mode > Vector (instead of Outline)
  3. Switch back to Publisher Persona

In other words, this now is definitely a feature, not a bug. ;)

MacBookAir 15": MacOS Ventura > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // MacBookPro 15" mid-2012: MacOS El Capitan > Affinity v1 / MacOS Catalina > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // iPad 8th: iPadOS 16 > Affinity v2

Thx Loukash, I also had an issue with Big Sur loading apps very slowly which may have affected it. I spent almost 2 hours on the phone with apple customer team and now both photo and Publisher load documents correctly without the above tip. (But it's a useful tip all the same!)
