HDR merge starts to work, the alignment works but at some point during HDR merge or tonemapping, Affinity Photo shuts down.  I am using version 1.8.5 and this is the first time I have used the new version for HDR.

I had managed to do one focus merge successfully, but attempting a second one has caused Affinity Photo to fall over.

Hi @MjL323 and Welcome to the Forums.

As a quick test, could try one HDR merge, then restart the app and try another?  I wonder if its a memory issue and restarting the app should clear that.

Also, what operating system are you running Affinity on?

I had tried merging full resolution images (from Sony A7R ii), which seems to be the problem.  I have retried both HDR and focus merging with smaller files and they both worked.

I am running Affinity on Windows 10, version 1903 and I have 8GB RAM.
