KFChan Posted June 13, 2020 Posted June 13, 2020 Hi there, I am new to Affinity and was trying to edit RAW and export the final adjustment photo to jpeg format, I realized that the export aspect ratio is same as the RAW dimension. I would like to keep a widescreen aspect ratio with my jpeg output; same as the camera jpeg format. I have tried unlock ratio and input same dimension that indicates in Windows' Properties for the original jpeg file. However, the result of the image is distorted. In my screen capture below from Windows, the original jpeg 'P3100131-1.jpg' straight from camera is in widescreen format. I adjusted the RAW file and export to jpeg 'P3100131-b.jpg', you can see the aspect ratio is from the RAW file (I have locked the aspect ratio). 'P3100131-c.jpg' is export that unlocked the aspect ratio button and input exact dimension of 'P3100131-a.jpg' but the image got distorted. While 'P3100131-d.jpg' tried with 'Lanczos 3 Non-Separable' Resample option. My export objective is to keep the image aspect ratio same as 'P3100131-a.jpg'. Your advice would be appreciated. Many thanks, AC Quote
lepr Posted June 14, 2020 Posted June 14, 2020 Welcome to the Affinity forums! You will need to crop the image that you've developed from raw and then export. Develop Persona and Photo Persona have a Crop Tool with handy presets (click the cog wheel button in context toolbar) such as 16:9. https://affinity.help/photo/English.lproj/pages/SizeTransform/cropping.html Quote
