VickyMason Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 (edited) Hi, complete novice to Affinity here. I'm having problems printing documents to my home printer in colour. Everything is printing in black and white. I have tried editing colour settings in preferences. I've searched the forums and used print settings that other users have recommended, and altered document setup also, but nothing seems to work. I've checked ink levels on my printer, they are ok (fairly new cartridges). I have also tried printing files from other programs, all have printed perfectly fine Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks, Vicky Edited April 5, 2020 by VickyMason additional information Quote
GarryP Posted April 6, 2020 Posted April 6, 2020 Welcome to the forums. I don’t do a lot of printing myself but the first thing I would check is to see if my printer driver was set to use greyscale or some other quick/draft settings. If that isn’t the case I would export the document to a PDF and try printing the PDF from a PDF reader. If the PDF content is in colour and I still get greyscale prints then the issue may not be with the Affinity applications. Probably best to try this sort of experiment with a very simple coloured document – maybe a few small coloured lines – rather than a photo (to use as little ink as possible while problem solving). Since you say that other applications print in colour just fine the above may not yield any good diagnostic results but at least you will have more information for anyone else who may want to help.
