Sun
Could somebody please tell me, where I can find the „rests“ from the previously installed Affinity PHOTO version. I did drag the Photo-Beta from the Applications folder to the trash. And I do understand, that this will suffice to have a nicely working bought Photo version from MAS. However, I like to keep my system as „clean“ as possible. ;) @AFFINITY Could you please tell me the exact places (paths) in the Library etc. where there is data-stuff from the Photo-Beta, that can safely be deleted manually? Thank you very much ! :)

Sun
Hi Paul, thank you for the answer. So, you think, I can safely delete just everything that has the name affinityphoto.beta in it? The interesting thing with the finder-search is: when I search for „affinityphoto.beta“ a ) search in „This Mac“ —> there is just 1 result user-> Library -> GROUP Containers -> … 128 Byte I guess, that one can be deleted. ________ ________ b ) search ONLY in „Library“ there are MORE results !!! additionally found now: 1. a FILE called com.seriflabs.affinityphoto.beta that has 430 Byte in user-> Library -> Containers -> Can I delete THIS WHOLE FILE ??? (again: the app itself was deleted already and is not in the trash anymore) ________ 2. and now this gets interesting… CoreSync-… .log in user-> Library -> Application Support -> ADOBE -> CoreSync I really do wonder, what that means…??? Is ADOBE logging (and phoning home?), that I have Affinity Photo installed??? This CoreSync-…. .log can be opened with TextEdit and then a quick search for „affinity“ in that text indeed shows some gobbledegook with „com.seriflabs.affinityphoto.beta“ in it. I guess, I should not delete that one, but I really do wonder what it means… Can somebody shed some light on this, please? TIA :) P.S.: Mavericks 10.9.5 Paul Bravery
Paul Bravery
Hi Sun, I was only advising how to locate the Affinity Beta software data. As far as the safe deletion of these files is concerned, it may be wise to ask a dev. With regard to Adobe, your questions may be better directed to them or Apple. If you have Flash Player, Shockwave etc. the files may be necessary for update notifications.
