Simon Dominic Posted February 3, 2020 Posted February 3, 2020 Being new to vector stuff I'm stuck with the following: Is there any way to join a shape to itself? So for example, using nodes, can I somehow create the shape on the right from the shape on the left? I know I could fudge it, e.g. by creating another shape and 'adding' it to the first, I'm wondering if there's a better way. When I just drag the shape over itself it XORs, which is obviously what it should do as it's interpreting the path, but not what I'm after. Quote
GarryP Posted February 3, 2020 Posted February 3, 2020 You could set “Layer → Fill Mode → Winding” and the fill won’t XOR itself – in some cases – but that could cause other problems if you add Effects and/or other things (I haven’t tested this exhaustively). Simon Dominic 1 Quote
Simon Dominic Posted February 3, 2020 Author Posted February 3, 2020 Thanks, that might work for what I want, as long as I can align the nodes to avoid kinks. Quote
