Being new to vector stuff I'm stuck with the following: Is there any way to join a shape to itself? So for example, using nodes, can I somehow create the shape on the right from the shape on the left? I know I could fudge it, e.g. by creating another shape and 'adding' it to the first, I'm wondering if there's a better way. When I just drag the shape over itself it XORs, which is obviously what it should do as it's interpreting the path, but not what I'm after.
