  1. Hello, I'm using latest stable version of AD, and while I minimize and work on my projects in Unity, AD take lots of CPU. See attached screenshot of the task manager. There are only couple of docs open in it, and app was minimized. Kindly look into this issue, as AD keeps my CPU at 70c temperature and fan on high speed until I close AD.
  2. Hi guys. I'm using at the moment Photoshop 5 and testing Affinity 1.6 for Windows. Looks very good and seriously an alternative to Photoshop, because I hate the subscription model of Adobe. However, my question is more the following. Is it possible to use Affinity either on my laptop or on my desktop when I buy one licence? Meaning, can I install it on both instance and use it either/or? I’m using Windows 10 64bit with an Acer Power Desctop 16MB RAM and a Asus Power Desctop 16MB RAM. Thanks for a quick info
  3. [update: solved - forcing Windows 10 updates has resolved this, no further issues like this observed] Hi I purchased my copy of Affinity Photo 1.5.1 yesterday after a positive experience with Affinity Photo Beta. However, I have a disk usage related performance issue. System Drive Active time pegged at 90-95% during and after Affinity Photo Upon opening a 23MP DNG image to edit, the OS C drive (where Affinity Photo is installed) goes into high disk usage. In Windows Task Manager, under the Disk Tab, Active Time goes to 90-95% - and fluctuates within this range. It only drops momentarily when I switch personas or execute a command - then pops back up to 90-95%. Supplied Free Macros RAM usage The bubble light leak macro -which involves 150 or so steps - when applied expectedly increases the RAM usage. However with every follow up tinkering on the sliders + click apply, the RAM usage increases further and further incrementally until it reaches the max allowed in Affinity Photo Preferences.
  4. With the attached file I have the effect: when I disable the "Bevel/Emboss" effect and re-enable it and directly after that rightr click the object while the effect still is rendering and let it open, the context menu will always jump to the top left position of the screen. Additionally the effect itself is causing full cpu usage but that may be to be expected for such effects on editable objects. EDIT: Found out it has additionally a performance impact if the file simply is openend in Affinity Designer and if I then create a new file (ctrl + n) and simply try to draw a simple shape like a square it is lagging. If I close the file it's responding as usual again. I recorded a video and attach the files. Test-Lag-001.afdesign AffinityDesigner-Video-003.zip
  5. Just started using AP. In considering AP for an upcoming workflow, after years of photoshop, I wondered about the .afphoto filetype. PSD is widely supported on the mac, but what will open .afphoto? The embedded help file had no entries for afphoto...How does one store the edited files? ps: why doesn't serif directly offer tech support for AP?
