I recently got Canon 90D, which produces CR3 files. I've had Affinity Photo for over a year now, but never worked on any raw files. So when I began working on CR3 files I was surprised how slow performance was. When I mean slow, I mean I wouldn't be able to see changes I make for 30-60 seconds. Sometimes longer. Everything takes extremely long. Not only the raw editor is slow, but after I develop the image regular activities in Photo are extremely slow. Sometimes trying to sharpen images I wonder if I made changes or not. Everything is sluggish and slow. So I finally got fed up with it and got a sample DNG file online, about 40 MB. From the moment I opened it everything was fast and changes almost instant. Nothing was as slow as what I've been experiencing with CR3 files. Even after developing image, all Photo activities are fast. I used Adobe's DNG converter app and converted my CR3 files to DNG. And what do you know, everything works fast. Much faster than CR3 files, 20x faster. Here's what I got: - Photo 1.9.2.1035 - Windows 10 x64 - Intel core i7-8665U CPU @ 190 GHz, 2112 Mhz, 4 cores, 8 logical processors - 48 GB ram - Intel UHD Graphics 620 - Nvidia Quadro P520 I've tried using both built-in Intel GPU and Nvidia GPU as renderers, no change in performance. Both had slow performance editing CR3. I'm including CR3 file and a converted DNG file for comparison. Would appreciate some feedback. For now, I'll probably start converting CR3s to DNGs. Hello. I searched for delayed typing and couldn't see any other postings in 3 pages. I'm just starting to learn Publisher and I noticed that when I type there is a large delay in the text coming out and I can't record with OBS to show. I have to type and wait for the letters to display for about 3 to 5 seconds after I type them. I only have been doing a few words at a time with the delay and it is severely slowing me down. My document isn't complicated and I only have a single image. I have to wait about five seconds for this to finish typing itself out: "This sentence takes about five seconds to fill in after I stop typing." I noticed that Publisher and Photo use a very large percent of CPU even when they were both minimized and hadn't been used in a few minutes, and Publisher was the same once when I had it open but wasn't interacting with it. I should have plenty of horsepower, and haven't installed any fonts yet. Thank you for your help. System: Dell XPS 15 9570, Windows 10 Pro v10.0.17134 Build 17134, Core i& 8750H, 32GB RAM

Hi there :) I bought affinity photo and designer few weeks ago hoping to shift permanently from Adobe. Unfortunately, both affinity programs appears very slow and poor performance to me. Especially, when dealing with raw images of 30 mb. It takes more time to load a raw image which is very bad. (much longer than adobe). While working on the image when any slider is varied the image jitters and processing takes long time like square boxes appearing and disappearing and then the image is back again with the applied controls. Some times it take so long that the program becomes unresponsive. Any help will be appriciated but I think its the program and not on my side. My machine specs are as: Windows 10 core i5 (7th gen) amd radeon R7 (4gb ddr5) 8gb ddr4 Ram Full HD
