When editing inside a text box in Illustrator I simply used my left thumb on the CMD key to change the cursor to Illustrator's "select" tool, and when I lifted my thumb I could go back to text editing. As far as I can see (and I may be wrong) the only way I can get from inside a text box back to then "move" or 'node" tools is to go to the screen and choose it from the toolbox. Otherwise I have typed my shortcut in the text box. Is this correct?

Often times I begin a drag and would then like to duplicate the object. However when I press the Command key to create a duplicate, AD doesn't respond in kind. So I have to undo, press Command and re-drag. Please allow the Command key to be activated in the middle of a drag, not only if the users presses Command before the drag. This is decades of muscle memory at work, let me continue to take advantage of this flexibility. Thanks for considering this, and Happy Mother's Day!

It would be a great productivity booster to enable the following functionality: whenever the Command key is pressed, and only while it is being pressed, the user is MOMENTARILY switched to the Move tool, as soon as the key is released, the app returns to the previously selected tool.
