  1. I agree, if that feature was added as an extra tool which could be used 'if required', that would be fine, I too wouldn't like to see a shift towards AI, at the moment AI 'colourisers' are still pretty rubbish, I'm sure in a few years you'll get great results with them. But if you watch the video link, you'll see why I'd like to see an integrated one in AP, the ease of loads of built in tools for refining, colour altering, and fixing parts of the photo not picked up by AI............there's probably a way to do that already if you load a photo thats been through an AI colouriser, if you know of a tutorial video showing how, a link would be greatly appreciated 👍
  2. I already colour old black and white photos on AP, it can be pretty time consuming, with millions of recolour adjustments......ok, maybe not millions, but lots, but while browsing on Youtube, I came across this video about photoshop's latest update, I was wondering/hoping if we can expect this feature on the next Affinity Photo update? I'm sure the people at Serif can do a better job than Adobe! PS auto colouring
  3. I know that's what I'm supposed to do, that's what I'm asking, I can't find 'where' to change it to RGB
  4. Up until today I haven't had this problem. I colour b&w images, but now when I open one the colour wheel automatically switches to greyscale, a little box pops up on the top right saying it has been assigned greyscale D50.....how do I stop this happening? I can't find a drop down menu anywhere to let me switch the wheel back to colour. (screenshot added)
  5. A couple of things, I'm ok with AP but no expert by any means, I try and colour old b&w photos, nothing professional, just a hobby for fun. My problem is faces and skin, there must be a way to make it realistic on AP, honest I've tried! a lot! but just can't get it right, they all end up with that 'colourized' look. So I cheat, I bought Photosrevive from the Mac store, one of those AI programs, and it's brilliant on skintones (see attached), but rubbish on everything else in the photo. I use it only for skin, then load it in AP to do everything else, and it ends up looking great, near photo unless you inspect it close. But I'd rather do it all on AP, there must be a way......help 2. I do it with lots of recolour adjustment layers, but instead of the slider, which can be tricky getting precise colours, is there any way I can use the colour wheel instead? An example of what I mean, this old photo is from 1932, I had to use both programs, but without too close inspection, it could almost pass as a genuine colour photo since her face has natural looking colour.
  6. Thanks, I'm in the UK so the price will be the same, but in £££, I'd use it the majority of the time on the Mac desktop, but if it's only £15 instead of £50 on the ipad then its worth buying again
  7. I own a copy of Affinity photo on my Mac, I have ordered a new iPad which should arrive tonight, it will link with my Mac under the same Apple ID, since I have already paid for the program would I be allowed to install it on the iPad as well from the app store, or would I have to pay for another copy? both devices will be on my account used by only me.
  8. Perfect, worked first time! I'll just stick to shortcuts that work from now on, thanks
  9. I'm having problems - I'm following one of the video tutorials about the flood tool on the tree photo. (on a Mac) I click on the blue sky and it selects it all fine, he then tells you to invert it to select the tree, thats the problem, he says to invert, you need to press cmd, shift and i, it works on the video, but when I tried it, 'Siri' pops up and the sky turns a light brown colour similar to the tree........I must have tried a dozen times now, and it does the same thing every time! I'm going slightly nuts now lol....I've attached the photo I'm using
  10. I'm still learning and in the process of trying to improve old family photos, I'm managing the B+W ones ok, and some colour to a certain extent, but I need help from the experts on here The problem is one photo in particular, I've attached it so you'll understand what I mean, me and my grandad from the 70s, it needs the colour improved, but only some of it as you'll see, and I'm not sure how to do that, if I change colour tones etc it affects the whole photo so the problem still exists. Thanks in advance for any help.
  11. I'm using 'photo'. Anyway thanks, that worked, I wasn't changing 'photo' to 'print' when I did the A4 option appeared
