  1. Huion giano wh1409, set up quite easily on Windows 10. Seems to be working ok, like using a mouse. Learning curve for me on setting up the 12 key on tablet, etc.
  2. Thank you for your comment...I guess I'll find out soon enough - I have just ordered a Huion Giano wh1409. I am waiting for restocking of hp pavillion x360 2in1 touchscreen. I am buying affinity designer software when the laptop is set up. In the meantime I have an Affinity Designer Workbook to learn about using the software. Hopefully it will all click into place!
  3. Thank you for that helpful information. Another thing I am trying to find out about the huion tablet is - if I import a scanned image or drawing into Affinity Design , can I draw around the image using huion tablet? When I am colouring in the image, will I be able to use the affinity features?
  4. Thank you for being so helpful. I have been going round in circles wondering what to opt for. I will take your advice on board and start looking again.
  5. Thank you for your advice. I am opting more for an iPad because I think that will be better for vector drawing. I am concerned whether I will be able to easily upload my illustrations to my windows PC - to insert into a word document which will be inserted inside an ebook software, such as kindle. Any advice on this would be much appreciated.
  6. Can anyone please help with this question: When using affinity designer is it possible to use a stylus pen with a 2in1 laptop. Or is that only possible with an IPad?
  7. I would like to buy a tablet to use with affinity designer. Has anyone any advise towards the choices available. Thank you.
  8. Thank you for your helpful replies. I am following the prices of laptops. The ones that stand out for me are: HP ENVY x360°,15.6", WITH THE FOLLOWING: AMD RYZEN 5, 2in1, 1 TB HDD & 128 GB SSD. AMD RYZEN 7, 2in1, 1 TB HDD & 256 GB SSD. INTEL CORE i5 2in1, 1TB HDD & 128 GB SSD. I intend to illustrate my own books and my present laptop is too old for that function.
  9. I'm buying a laptop to enable me to learn and use affinity designer for illustrations. Is a 360 degree, 2in1, touchscreen laptop better to use than one without 360 degree? Can you draw with a stylus in affinity designer on a Laptop? Thank you.
