Thank you for this, it gave me the confidence which I needed to uninstall the program. . In the event, I hesitated to spend £30 on the Microsoft tool before trying an uninstall with the uninstaller I have. Then downloaded fresh copy of Publisher setup file and it installed like a dream! Thanks again!

I have Affinity Publisher version 1.8.0.584, and whenever I open the program I'm told there's a new update available. So I download it, run it - and it tells me that the update has failed. Do I uninstall Publisher, then reinstall it from the download? Or isn't it that simple?

'Save' buttons!

Fixx, I'd be happy with that. By all means let the save buttons be optional on the Toolbar. -
Please may we have 'Save' and 'Save As' buttions on the Toolbar, please! I know it doesn't save much time, but it would feel better!

If I use the Alt+left arrow key on my Windows 10 installation, the selected text is tracked, but the moment I lift my fingers off the keys the selected text disappears and is replaced by a small solid diamond character. Pressing Ctrl-Z brings back the tracked text.
