Thanks again Walt. Would you please advise me how to make the change you suggest. I don’t recall ever seeing rgb/8. I have saved files in rug but not seen
options.
best,

Walt: one example. 4200x4200 pixels, 14”X14” image size . 300 dpi.
i want to place my work for sale on FineartAmerica website and they will
only accept files smaller than 25 mb.
they suggest converting to jpeg but when I do this in photoshop the
file size stays the same 50 mb. Can I achieve this in Affinity? I’ve looked and
dont see how.
thanks a lot

Thanks Walt. I put my pic in photoshop but nothing happened when I tried to compress choosing LZW. The options were grayed out. I guess my only option
is to lower the ppi, which I hate to do.

If I have a tiff that is 50 mb. Can I compress to 25 without loss in quality?
if so.....how?
thanks

Is there a way to emulate the duplicate tool in photoshop?
i tried drawing a simple box then copy pasted it. Once the selection appeared
i tried to move it. Didn’t work.
thanks

Thanks again. Only one layer. Maybe there was some glitch in the app.
no idea why nothing would change in the selection.
i ended up using another app.
much appreciate your input

Thank you: pixel selection? I used the tool that indicated
a dotted line around the selection. Is that different than a pixel
selection? And I used photo,iPad.

I was disappointed when I imported a photo selected one person of four
whose face fell into shadow and was much darker than the others.
in photoshop I would select the face and use exposure to lighten it
in balance with the others. Could not do this in Affinity.
am I missing something? Thanks

Used the card reader from my camera on the iPad Pro for the first time.
i opened Affinity Photo chose import from camera. When the photos arrived
they were in in iPhoto. What should I do when I import to Affinity so I can process in raw?
thanks

Thanks. Appreciate the help

Thanks. How do I do that? At one point I tried subtract but
nothing happened. Also, is there an easy way to change the brush size?
such as a slider found on many apps.

Using smart selection tool there was one place beyond the figure selection I want
to remove. Tried all the tools but couldn’t succeed in removing this area. Please,
what should I do?
thanks

I tried a few different settings but didn’t see any change.
the tutorial video showed change as the dials were used. Am i
missing something? Thanks

Thank youMy takeaway is it is best to finalize my work in Affinity. When I save to iphoto
will it be ready for printing?
thanks
Another thought. What would happen if I opened my file from iPhoto in Affinity
worked on it then put it back in iPhoto then imported the photo into Procreate?
would that somehow degrade the quality when printed?

Please. How do I de select in photo?
thanks

Two questions. I chose to change a couples things to my photo but don’t see where to click to
save the changes. And I had seen lighting effects but now I can’t find them.
can’t find this in any tutorials. Thanks

Thanks. When I followed your directions what I found was the doc was already
rgb8. I did however lower the quality setting before exporting to iPhoto.
when I opened in photoshop the file was still the same 50mb+. There must be some
incompatibility issue with photoshop. It’s the only thing I can think of.
one more question you may be able to clarify. If I lower the ppi from 300 to 200
after the original was created at 300 will it be the same quality if the original was created at 200? Thanks again.
