  1. It would be handy to have Canon Professional Print & Layout as a Plugin please. Nik Collections works a treat
  2. Nik Collection works a treat with AP but it would be better and more convenient if it created it's own layer, as it does in Photoshop (sorry to mention that bit)
  3. Hi Walt. Oh, that's a lot of faffing. I think I'll just have AP2 Beta and Bridge open and drag and drop. Thanks for your help.
  4. I use Adobe Bridge as my DAM. If there is an AP file in Bridge and I double click it open AP2, not Beta, even if it was created in Beta. I want to change but I'm unable to find AP 2 Beta application. In Bridge, right click > open with > browse > C/Users/myname/.affinity/Photo/2.0Beta. Plenty of folders but no application to tell Bridge to open AP2 Beta. It's the same for Designer and Publisher Any ideas please?
  5. Ahhhhhhh, thank you both. I don't usually use text in Photo but thought I would this time, making a tile for a website.
  6. In Photo I made a square. Added text. It was pixilated, like the old bitmaps. I then switch over to Publisher and the text is perfect.
  7. Using a full Windows keyboard, Zoom was Ctr + + or - keys at the end of the keyboard. This option is not available in 2.2.0.1903 for all three programmes. Ctr + = or - work but are nowhere as convenient as using the keys on the number pad on the right. Hope this makes sense.
  8. The Nik collection works fine in AP but it would be great if it appeared as a separate adjustment layer, as in Photoshop (sorry). Currently, if you are not happy with the Nik image, you have to re-do it, unable to select and make any adjustments. Unless I am missing something. Keep up the great work
  9. Two documents open in Affinity Photo. Copy one document, switch to other document. Left click in layers panel. Ctl+V to paste. Does not work. File - Paste is OK. Used to work in AF2, I checked. The apply to all in the Close Document panel is brilliant. An awful lot of faffing saved.
  10. I had the same problem a while ago. I emailed DxO. From memory, which could be better, for some daft reason when DxO send the files they are not all in the same place. Have a dig about in Windows Explorer. If I remember the missing apps were in a folder called 'bin' HTH
  11. I have made a book in Publisher for someone. I exported this as a pdf. When the pdf in in an iPhone it has my name, Richard Roberts, under the title (see attached screen shot) I am unable to work out where it gets my name from, I guess the programme, but am I able to change this to Nadia Rose, who wrote the book.
  12. I use Adobe Bridge as my DAM. I have just noticed that when I open an image in AP it is slightly cropped. See images attached and note the edges. Any ideas why this should be?
  13. Thank you for your suggestions. .nef files are associated to Affinity Photo. In Windows Explorer, all .nef files are listed as Affinity Photo files. In Bridge they are listed as .NEF. I agree that in Bridge, single click should be to select and double click to open the file (in AP) but it opens in AP with a single click.
  14. This is driving me crazy!! I use Adobe Bridge as my DAM. When I single click on a .nef file it opens in Affinity Photo. How the heck do I stop it? There cab be a dozen or so .nef files open in AF and I have to cancel each one separately. I wouldn't mind if it was double click In Bridge, I have gone to Edit > Preferences > File Type Associations and the .nef is set to None. Any ideas?
  15. Hi Walt, I did install them in Affinity Photo via the file menu. I was under the assumption that if you installed the ICC Profiles in Affinity Photo, when using Publisher, they would be there. If in Publisher and then select the Photo persona, they are not there. I have to presume we a have to load ICC profiles in Photo and then in Publisher. Thanks for your help.
  16. I have ICC Profiles for my printer and paper, which I have loaded in Affinity Photo and work perfectly. When I am using Affinity Publisher and wish to print the ICC Profiles are not there. If I select the Photo Persona, the ICC Profiles are not there either. So, if I open Affinity Photo the ICC profiles are there but not if I use Publisher. Any bright ideas, or am I missing something?
  17. Not really. You suggested reducing the document size. I suggested exporting as a new image.
  18. You may also wish to try: With the image in Affinity Photo > File > Export. The estimated file size will be shown. If too large, you have two options. Change the size by typing in the pixels but make sure the padlock keeps closed, or change the Quality or a mixture of both depending on what your final criteria is.
  19. I use Permajet photo papers. If you send for a personalised ICC profile for their specific paper, which is a free service, there is no need to Soft Proof. Set the properties in the print driver and these can then be saved with a name of your choice
  20. When I was at work I did a lot of design work that was sent to professional printers. They told me not to submit back areas as pure black but with 50% Magenta. Maybe worth a try?
  21. Tried what you describe and it works fine even when I close AP and restart it the panels are where I left them on the second monitor. Sorry, can't help anymore
