  1. Ummm. Publisher is not a word processor, or a text editor. It is a layout tool. It will not, and should not, work like Word or Office-products. It is very capable equivalent of InDesign or Quark Xpress. It should not just place text flowing over pages, because then you would lose the precision control of the layout. Also, text you edit will not be saved back to the text you have imported.
  2. Love the beta of Publisher. Only thing I still am a bit annoyed with is setting guides, because they have to be set manually by distance (percentage or millimeter) rather than to add on X number of guides and have them evenly spaced from either margins or the page. May I suggest a checkbox in the Guides manager? [x] Space guides evenly And radio button for Align guides to (x)Margin ( )Page It would make it a breeze without having to do math.

  4. I would like to chime in with requests for Affinity for Linux. Do you know why designers are not using Linux instead of Windows or Mac? Because the software they want is not there. Now, I worked as a web designer, freelance for 6 years, and I worked on Linux. And a virtual machine to run Windows only because of Adobe. With Affinity Designer and Photo, I have finally managed to ditch Adobe after 20 years use - that is how good I find this software. And yet, I cannot ditch Windows. And a lot of designers I know feel the same way: if you build it, they will come.
