I resolved this issue by unchecking ‘Edit all layers’ from the burger menu in Layers Studio. If this is unchecked by default would be better. -
An Issue occurs at times while working on a project in Designer on iPad and I switch to another app momentarily (eg Safari | Mail). When I try to return back to Designer, the app is restarted and my latest amendments are lost. This never happened in 1.7.x.

Same problem on iPad Pro 12.9 2018.

I think that the new version 1.8 is not stable and would like to reverse back to latest update of 1.7. I don’t have backup. Can someone tell me how to get 1.7.x? ?

Affinity photo on iPad user manual specifies that in layer blending there is a passthrough blend mode (see attached screen shot). But when I go on the layers blending option list, this does not show. Any idea what i’m Doing wrong or is this option missing?
