Welcome to Affinity Forums
The grid is not adjustable on the iPad version. You can only turn it on or off (it uses the Automatic grid mode as in the desktop versions) meaning the number of divisions varies based on the zoom level. The explanations given above only apply to the desktop version.

If you go to View > Grid and Axis manager you should find the options to change the size of the squares on your grid.
