I can't even begin to find a way to draw a simple line with this. I use the Pen tool, but it doesn't present me with any options for size or style.

I'm sure there's an easy way to do this; I just don't know it. I have a rectangular photo. I want to take an elliptical selection out of it and either save as a jpeg or paste just that elliptical selection into another app, but all I get is the whole rectangular photo. I used to be able to do this with Photoshop all the time, but I'm clearly short of learning here. Help would be appreciated.
