    Lensfun Library Update

You can manually update by copying the contents of http://wilson.bronger.org/lensfun-db/version_1.tar.bz2 (the latest stable file list) in to ...\Program Files\Affinity\Affinity Photo\Resources\Lens Profiles on windows though I would recommend you take a backup of the current contents first just in case something goes wrong. This is on windows only. I think though the lensfun project is stalled through lack of resources - it's a shame really as a lot of commercial software is relying up on it but having spoken to some of the volunteers (it's all volunteers) none of the commercial programs that rely on have donated either money or even some staff hours to help with the profiling.
  2. I needed to knock together some letterhead and compliment slips quickly - I would usually have used photoshop but used Affinity Photo to see how easy it was to use for this - conversion to PDF for the printing companies standard etc. was a breeze. However the printed stationary arrived today from the printers and immediately it is obvious that the the text created using the frame text tool - and the images added as layers (File > Place) are not level! I was about to complain to the printers but on closer inspection printing one on the office laser from both the PDF and affinity photo file I can see that the run off is in the software not caused by the printer - all frames and layers have no rotation applied to them but they are not level with the canvas. This big has cost me quite a bit of money!
