I guess it is important if you want that real looking thick/thin pressure you get with a pen or pencil on paper, depends what kind of work you are doing? But only the Apple pencil is supported in the Affinity Apps, i have a Wacom Sketch that has pen pressure but only has basic use in Affinity and i only have the Designer App which has a pressure studio option for vector brushes, so not a big issue.
By basic use of the Sketch, do you mean that pressure sensitivity and palm rejection do not work with AP?

Hello,
I am just beginning to use AP for a combination of photos and artwork. For the artwork, I will probably need a stylus for fine lines. I notice that the more expensive styluses come with a pressure sensitive feature. How important is that? Thanks.

Hello,
I am interested in doing fantasy photo manipulation with AP. Which iPad would be best for that kind of work? Thank you.

Is AP compatible with Fusion? Thanks

This computer will be used almost exclusively for Photo.

I’m thinking of getting a new iMac. It comes with various versions of mice or trackpad. Which choice might be best to work with Photo? Thanks.

Are there any plans to offer the book as an ebook?

All software changes frequently. I am hesitant to buy a book that will become outdated too soon. I just heard that there features in the book that connect it to online resources. Might that prevent obsolescence?

I would like to know if the following is possible:
Every photo is composed of numerous colors. I would like to separate a photo into say 10 layers. Each layer would contain certain colors ( reds, blues, yellows, etc,). With all layers on, you would have the complete photo. With only 1 layer on, you would have only reds showing for example. Can this be done and do you have any tips to make the process easier? Thanks.

If you want to blend them together, they have to overlap a little. You only need to mask the top image, making it go from 100% opaque to 100% transparent (i.e. 0% opaque).
Thank you. If I have only one image, can I blend out the edges using a gradient mask? As an alternative, could the Settings panel accomplish this type of blending?

I’m trying to find a video tutorial that shows how to blend two images together. By that I mean: Start with two images, one on the left and one on the right. They meet in the middle. Perhaps they are on separate layers. Initially, there will be a sharp transition line where they meet. I would like to blend the transition so that it looks like a smooth transition. Thanks.

Could you please tell me which tool(s) would be used in Photo to blend an image’s edges into the background. Thanks.

I’m looking for something that may not exist but hoping Photo and/or Designer will meet my needs. I have begun working with mixed media to embellish book covers. Below is an example of the type of art I am talking about. I would like to predesign my work on a computer. Do you think Photo and/or Designer is capable of this kind of complex work? Thanks.

Does Photo have some features similar to the PS plugin Print Studio Pro? I am particularly interested in previewing the appearance of a print with different settings tweeked. As in Print Studio Pro, I could then select the most appealing one. Thanks.

I have file that is about 10000 by 6000 pixels. I want to create an A2 print from the file. Pixel density will exceed 300 dpi. That’s fine. Is there a place to set pixel density (dpi)? Thanks.

How do you change measure units to millimeters? Thanks,

I have Photo and am considering Designer to improve the appearance of my website. I’m not an illustrator. I can barely draw a straight line, lol. Would I still be able to use and get benefit from Designer? Thanks,

How can I customise the Artistic Text context bar? Thanks.

I am practicing selections using the Flood Selection Tool. It seems that no matter what settings I choose, nearly the whole picture is selected with one tap. In the images below, I tapped once in the white area on the left. I have an iPad Air 2. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.
UPDATE: I think I have a partial answer. It seems that the part of the image that is selectable is dependent upon what layer(s) is selected. I had thought that if a layer was showing then it was selectable. Apparently not.

Since this issue was raised, I decided to check my situation. The AP folder is appearing in iCloud on my iPad. But the 5 photo files in it are greyed out. I only have one email account that I use on Mac and iPad. What did I do wrong? Thanks,
UPDATE: My error. I was trying to access the photos from the wrong place in AP.

I agree. Renaming does not turn it into a package. It remains a folder.

I tried that method but it didn't work. When I click on the folder, subfolders open.

I have an ipad air 2, so there is no pencil support, apparently. Since that is the case, how about all the brushes that are available in AP? By that I mean, can I effectively solve the problem with proper brush selection (e.g. wide vs. narrow, etc.)
