I had the same problem and then remembered the basic rule when something doesn't work in Affinity Photo--check to see if I am on a pixel layer. Problem solved.

I know we can drag layers out of a group. And when all are out we can trash the group. But is there a simple way to simply ungroup a group of layers? If you had say 8 or 9 adjustment layers in a group it would be easier to simply ungroup them. Just for the record the fact that we can group layers on iPad is in itself truly game changing.
