Hi I have been using AP since its launch and love the program, when I resize my pictures I prefer to use inches rather than the default pixal. Can anyone advise me if it is possible to change the default and if so how. I have tried unsuccessfully to look at the help pages. thanks for your help. Dave

Can anyone help, I am having problems when resize my pictures. everything appears to happen correctly in photo, I always resize by inches followed by dpi, all seems fine. I then export to jpg, but when I go back to send a file or print it goes back to its original size, What am I doing wrong please. thanks Dave

Hi I have been reading an article regarding processing an image in Raw and changing the canvas colour to white ( which is possible in Photo Shop). By doing this the article says it helps to get a better sense of the exposure . My question is, is this possible in AP? Thanks

Hi, I am trying to to use the frequency separation tool, it requires that I use the freehand selection tool to create a feathered mask. However when I select the free hand tool it will allow me to draw a mask, but instead of marching ants I get a solid outline and as soon as I release my finger having completed drawing the mask it vanishes. Can anyone through some light on this please. Thanks Dave

Can any one help me with cropping in Raw, it will allow me one crop. I can get around it in the photo persona but just wondered what I am doing wrong. thanks Dave

Hi sorry for delay in replying, I am using windows 10 latest edition, The edition of AP was taken from the latest download that I was prompted to load last week. I have been using AP again to day and had the same crash report saying "unable to find, or invalid report", any help would be much appreciated. thanks

Good morning Yesterday I downloaded the latest upgrade AP but since doing it I keep on getting an error message saying: "error code could not be found or error code is invalid" followed by program closing. It seems to be random when it happens , ie. not after any set process , any advice please would be most helpful. Thanks Dave

Really cant see, I was pressing the alt key but I think I was taking my finger off the shift key first.

Hi and thank for taking the time to help, I have opened an image held down the Alt key and shift key releasing alt to select source, as soon as I release alt the cursor just stays straight in the centre of my brush. I am not running any third party software, and sadly I do not know how to record a clip. there are times when I feel so stupid sorry.

Hi Alfred Sorry I have not responded earlier and thanks for taking the time to help. I have done as you have described but unfortunately I still have a problem. If I hold down the alt/shift the cursor stays in the centre of the brush. I have uninstalled and reinstalled but that did not help either. thanks again Dave

Hi , I am also having problems with the clone tool. When I click alt and shift I get the message saying that I need to click alt and shift, I really do not know what I am doing wrong. I am using the windows version any help would be most helpful. Thank you Dave

Hi I have been using AP since it launched with windows. I have just started having problems with the clone tool. If I click "Alt and click" to select source the cursor stays in the middle of the brush, with a message saying press "Alt click" to select, which I have . I have tried re installing the program but no change , can some help please. Thanks in advance Dave

Hi I am new to Affinity Photo and cannot find what I am doing wrong when resizing and changing DPI. If i change the size to inches from pixels and change the dpi at the same time when I click to resize the height would maybe changing to 12 and the width to 8, but after resizing the width ends up at something like 1.9 inches. However if I do the resize and the dpi separately i have no problem. other than that what a great program. any ideas please Thank you

Hi I am very much a beginner when it comes to manipulation and have been using PP x8 which had a manual to download. I found this very helpful, is there such a thing for Affinity please? and how do I get it? Also in PP x8 you had to merge layers to use certain functions is this still the case and if so how do I achieve it. thanks for your help
