When I try to open a pdf (17xA1, pdf version 1.3, pdf producer- Adobe pdf library 15.0, app-adobe indesign cc13.1 mac) some of the pages seem sliced with text as image and then editable text overlayed so I am unable to replace the text without having to remove and recreate the rasterized text slices. how can I open a pdf correctly.
I can send a pdf I am having problems with via private link if possible.

I have upgraded to affinity photo and designer 1.7 from 1.6 and I am having a problem loading pdf files created via print "save as pdf" in 3 different web browsers, when opening it reads the fonts correctly but some of the text is over lapping in the text box and the only way to fix this is to copy the text in to notepad and the copy and paste back to the text box, this fixes the overlap.
Has the new pdf import/load got some setting i am unaware of or is that a unknown fault with both programs.
I can supply screen shots or files as required.

Please can you tell me if this update fixes the jpeg metadata export problem, where when metadata is included in the export the jpeg height and width will load incorrectly, but excluding metadata from export jpeg loads with correct height and width.

Do you have an update on the jpeg embed metadata problem or a upcoming fix, as I really need metadata in my jpegs as a use D.A.M and losing metadata is really a BIG problem and lots of afp/afd users have commented on this bug. Are there other export formats I can use that will not suffer the problem.

Hello all,
I have just downloaded and tested the 1.6.0.82 beta and the export persona still can not export jpeg with embed metadata, it still exports any file at 72ppi, was this issue fixed or is it still on the todo list as export with metadata is of extreme importance for my work flow, with out metadata affinity photo is almost no use to me.
sorry to sound over the top about this but it really is needed.

I have had a look through the forum and did not find a topic about this or I may of missed it.
I have a HP Spectre x360 and would like too know how to set up affinity designer for use in tablet mode as the keyboard when in tablet mode is on the underside of the screen so things link holding ctrl or shift are a problem, is their a way of setting up on screen keys without opening the onscreen keyboard as this blocks a large section of the screen making it unusable.

Thanks for the quick reply,
The image is 40"x28", resize canvas = plus 3" on height and width, anchor point "centered". the image i attached was the output from the "resize canvas" screen grab.

I am using Affinity Photo Windows Beta v1.5.0.39 and have run in to a problem with resize canvas, its only seems to resize 3 edges e.g. top,bottom and left, those edges get the correct canvas added but the right side gets no canvas added.
Have I done something wrong on the canvas resize or is it just bug ?.
