With the latest beta 1.5.0.39 I don't see an issue with plugins anymore. Topaz Clarity and Topaz deJPEG work fine in 16 bit mode -
It is partly fixed in Beta 1.0.5.37. TopazLabs plugins are accessible now in 16 bit mode. However TopazClarity produces some strange color spots which it doesn't produce in other host apps (Photoshop CS4, Corel PaintShopPro X9)

I just started with A.photo for Windows today. Glad to find it can work with 16 bit, but it's disappointing to find that photoshop plugins can only work in 8bit. I have a couple of TopazLabs plugins and using them in 8 bit doesn't make any sense to me. I hope it will be fixed soon...
