  1. I think I know where the problem is. I've got most of my workfiles inside a dropbox folder. When I was testing the exporting on some of my other drives, or at least outside the dropbox folder, it exported without a problem. Also, when using the same dropbox folder, but paused syncing, the export was fine. I can record a video if you really want, but all I do, is clicking File>Export>Export
  2. Here is a link to the file, and a screenshot with the error message: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ic6xfsydq4u6qv1/AABKCnj5PMupYHypbqLd71QNa?dl=0
  3. I sometimes get an error when trying to export png files. The error message says "Metadata could not be embedded". It's strange, because this doesn't happen with every export. I couldn't find out what causes this error. Of course there's always the option to not embed the metadata, so it's no big deal, but I thought I let you know.
  4. That would also be my preferred method, but SHIFT is already used to constraint the selection.
  5. Thanks again for your reply and the clarification. But why not also use two modifier keys (like CTRL+ALT) to add to the selection? I noticed that SHIFT+ALT constraints and subtracts from the selection, but CTRL+ALT seems to do the same thing as just ALT. edit: Another option would be to use the mouse for both adding and subtracting without any modifiers (like just the right mouse button to subtract), which IMO would be more consistent.
  6. Yeah, that works. Thank you very much! Although I've got the same question as in my other topic (https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/27778-brush-sizehardness-and-brush-preview-drag/) Is there a way to change this behavior? It feels very inconsistent and in-intuitive having to press a modifier key for removing from the selection and having to press two mouse buttons for adding to it (again, even more so when using a tablet).
  7. Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately dragging with the right mouse button doesn't seem to do anything. Also tried it with the modifier keys (alt, shift, ctrl)
  8. Is there a way to add something to my selection? It seems I'm only able to subtract form the current selection (marquee tools/freehand selection tool) with the ALT key, but I can't add to it, which I thought would work with another modifier key like SHIFT or CTRL (or any combination of these).
  9. I just wanted to ask the same thing. Is there a list of features which are currently missing in the windows beta version?
  10. Thanks for the quick answers (where did the second one go?) ALT+left+right click and drag did work. Is there any way to change the shortcut? It feels very strange having to press two mouse buttons (even worse with a tablet)....
  11. First of all, thanks for bringing Affinity Photo to Windows, I really appreciate it! I've got two little problems. First: I can't change the brush size/hardness with CTRL+ALT and (click-) dragging the mouse which should work according to some topics on the forum. (e.g. https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/4987-how-to-change-brush-size-with-keyboard-mouse/) Second: The brush preview drags behind my mouse pointer/brush. It's not a big problem, but a bit irritating when working. Is this behavior intentional or is it a performance thing?
