I've begun first steps with Affinity designers, and it looks like a vey nice and very powerful vector drawing application !
First remarks:
- Can't see the mouse cursor with Shape tool: it is black or dark gray, which is unwatchable on dark background. I was following the Beginner video of the tutorial, and in the video, the mouse cursor appear as a white cross.
So ideally an algorithm would check how dark or light the visible layer is, and change the color of the cursor appropriately. Or change it so that it is both white and dark.
- Manuscript-like fonts look positively awful on screen. I haven't printed yet to see if it is the same low quality on print.
- I'm using a 40 inch 4K monitor and the UI could be bigger. Ideally it would be possible to choose the scale of the UI (or at least of toolbars). If not possible, maybe a choice between 1x and 2x ?
Keep up the good work, I'm very impressed by the illustrations of the Welcome screen, that show all the possibilities of this software.
