  1. Thank you. I found Photo on the list but not Affinity Designer. I'll also try out the low and high precision modes and see what works best. 👍
  2. I'm having a similar problem. I want to set Affinity to Windows Ink in the Wacom control panel but I get Access Denied when I try to add the .exe to the list. How do I find/use a .bat file, as mentioned? I'm using Windows 10 with an older Wacom Intous 3 tablet. Affinity does not show up in the Wacom list of available applications even when I have Affinity open.
  3. Hi Callum, Thanks for the help. I may not have spotted that export option. So just to clarify, because I'm dim . I should open a new document, convert it to the colour profile I want to use with the printer and then create my coloured logo using the values specified in the brand document? Yes?
  4. Hi This is a novice question, so please excuse my ignorance. I usually work in video production, but the company I work for has asked me to put together a promotional postcard for print. I have a "Brand" document that lists the correct colour values for the company logo (RGB, CMYK and #value). I know I need to use CMYK for print. My confusion comes from how to use the correct colour profile. If I import the brand guide PDF into Affinity Publisher it gets converted to the currently set colour profile. But now the colour values no longer exactly match the values I've been told to use. Of course, the same thing will happen if the printers then tell me to change my colour profile to something else. The colour values will change again. So my confusion is when do I actually set my colour values to be correct? Do I set the colour profile first and then adjust my logo colours to match the ones stated in the brand document or do I set the correct logo colour values and then convert the document to the desired colour profile? I'm also not sure what option to use in the document setup, "assign" or "convert" to colour profile. Any guidance gratefully received. Thanks
  5. Hi I'm pretty new to Affinity and, indeed, DrawPlus on the PC. Previously I've used, the no longer supported, Expression3 from Creature House and I hoped that one of these programs would make a good replacement. One thing that Expression3 does is allow you to easily add feathered edges to shapes using a bitmap vector. Drawplus does a similar thing but it uses edge brushes. As far as I can see there is no option in Affinity. Another great feature of DrawPlus is the multi-part brushes with textured parts that repeat along the brushstroke. I'm thinking of ones listed under Grunge in DrawPlus's Brush menu. The only similar effect I've found in Affinity is in the Pixel Persona section. However, since these are bitmap effects, you can't adjust them later like you can in DrawPlus. I'm torn between the two programs. I find Affinity quite easy to use and a much cleaner working environment to DrawPlus. I think Affinity also allows slightly higher resolution brushes to be imported. I have a set of water colour brushstrokes that I scanned for use in Epression3. I've tried them in both DrawPlus and Affinity and they seem to look higher resolution in Affinity. Ideally, although I own DrawPlus, I'd prefer to move to Affinity when it's available for sale. I just wish it had these two features. Of course, maybe I just haven't been looking in the right places and someone can point me in the correct direction. I'm perfectly happy to be proved wrong. :)
