If you have ever dealt with springs and struts in Mac development (and now in iOS) constraints in Affinity is almost identical.

There is no selection outlines or any selectable points for any objects. For example, when I am using the pen tool there are no boxes that I am clicking. So there are no resize handles or anything of the sort. It may be useful to note that I am only macOS Sierra beta 2. I have included a screen shot of what it looks like when I am actively drawing using then pen tool. This issue just started, it was functioning properly for the past little bit.
