  1. I've been researching ways to add hyperlinks post production, and sadly there are no good ones. There are a few apps that can do this, but it appears they cost more than Publisher will (I assume). Even if possible, adding hyperlinks post Publisher is not acceptable since it will add more time to the workflow, and be a problem later if revisions need to be made. The lack of adding hyperlinks in Publisher has me concerned. I think we all realize that the print-on-paper industry is in decline and in the near future I believe it will not exist anymore. I'm already there; I receive no paper invoices or bills, I don't send letters or invoices in the mail, I haven't written a check in years, I haven't printed a photograph in years, I have a printer on my desk, but I print less than 100 pages a year. My Thrifty Cabinets woodworking plans I'm producing are for digital distribution only. To not include a hyperlink tool in the initial release of Publisher is going to cripple it greatly in my mind.

I hate to bring this up, but being told it is something that will be included in the future is not acceptable. That's what we've been told about arrowheads on the ends of paths in AF Designer. It's been three years (I believe), and that basic functionality (my opinion) is still not included. I moved on and I produce my technical illustrations in another app now.

  2. I sent a bunch of crash reports. I see there's a lot more to this than I thought. I created and attached (here) a new sample file that shows the problem. I have two similar tables in my document, and AF Pub will crash when I've created table formats from both of them. I select the table on the right, then I click on the Table Formats/Format 2 icon in the palette, and then the crash occurs. The crash will not happen unless the table on the right is selected, and I can stop the crashing if I deleted the Table Format 2.

    Hi @Mr. K,

it would be good to have the APub file, too. Then we could look if something is in there.

If I open 1.pdf in APub I find a rectangle shaped image in the area of the light area that is grouped with the image of the furniture.

I will do more testing. I attached my file here if you can find another reason other than that the image is a AFPhoto file. Yikes... It's 57mb!Thrifty Cabinets Three-Drawer Dresser Plan.afpub

@Mr. K It doesn't really matter that you "see the sidebar as a thumbnail view", the fact is that it's not a thumbnail view and has other functions. The only way to make it work as you want it would be to make double-click the way to select a page and that's not intuitive. Just get used to double-clicking to go to the page and it'll be fine.

There's no reason it can't function both ways. It's my wish. All of you who want to double click, then do so.

But that would lose the functionality provided by the Pages panel. When you single click you select it for editing the page properties (what Master is applied, for example, or adding new pages after it, or duplicating it, or deleting it). When you double click it you select it for editing the page contents.

I can do that whether the page is the active page or not, so I don't see this as a reason not to have single click to make the page active. I see the sidebar as a thumbnail view. I click the thumbnail, I think that should make that page active.
