  1. Would love to see one of my fav features in ai: you can assign a gradient to a stroke with an option to have it move along the stroke length, not just fill it. You can achieve same look in AD by creating a gradient, saving as an image, then creating image brush, but its a hustle and you can't change it quickly.
  2. I know you guys are working on implementing keyboard shortcuts editor, but I haven't seen exact feature list for it. Here's what I hope you'll add (if it's not planned already): Tools (! super important for us switchers, right?) Previous / next brush for all drawing tools. Modifier (shift?) + key for multiple tools on one key. You'd group some similar tools under one key (rectangle/oval selection etc). Thanks for great amount of work you've done so far! Been a beta tester and just bought AD from the App Store.
  3. Pixel eraser tool (or mode) is a must for pixel art or any precise pixel work. Or pixel tool might have an alternative mode where it erases with a key modifier.
  4. Thanks for replying, great to see developers really listening! Can't seem to combine windows into tabs. Maybe because of Yosemite Beta bugs? Regarding the embedding: I was thinking more about changing the original document will update the one. So it's not actually embedding, it's linking. PS.Judging from other posts, looks like users frequently ask of features that are already in, but somewhat harder to find? Like me in this topic, most of stuff you already have. Maybe an FAQ is needed? :)
  5. I'm a big fan of most of how AD works and looks now, but there are some functions i'd love to see: Tabs in 'separated mode' windows. Sort of like browsers work: you can have any amount of windows, with any amount of documents/tabs in them. Fullscreen mode to maximise working space. Same for Hide palettes/UI shortcut, sort of like TAB in photoshop. Dark menubar for OS X Yosemite. Custom palette designer: put random icons into a new, custom palette. I'd love to combine most used toolbar, transform, align and boolean icons into a single palette. Keyboard shortcut remap: tools (!), functions etc. Updatable smarter embeds: place document A into a document B, edit A and it's updated inside B. And a really big one: Automation. Think actions in photoshop: record any buttons/shortcuts/canvas operations into a macro and play it any time using a shortcut. Could be only menus at first implementation, then add palette buttons and then canvas operations like drawing, transforms etc. Keep up mind-blowing work you've been doing on AD, going at this rate this is going to be a no-brainer first-day purchase for any graphic designer.
  6. As a user with two layouts I tend to switch between my native Russian and English often. I'd love for Designer app's shortcuts to ignore my layout and just work when i'm not in English layout.
