  1. Thank you! I exported them all to x1a:2003 hopefully that's resolved it. I really appreciate your help.
  2. Hmmm... well, I thought I'd figured it out. I exported the file to pdf and there was a slight difference to the blacks again. Not as obvious as before, I just hope it doesn't show up when printed. Doesn't show on my home printer now, but might be a different story when we send off for the labels to be done... 🤞
  3. Hi Folks, I think I figured it out! Even though I opened the embedded moon graphics within publisher and changed their values to match the rest of the document, it was obviously reverting to their original state somehow. My fix was to open the moons in affinity designer, change their values to match the cmyk generic profile of my publisher document, alter the black to match the one recommended by the printer... then place them back into the publisher document. It appears to have worked. My mistake was to think that since they were embedded, they would automatically match the settings of my publisher document.
  4. I mean to add. The design was created in affinity design, then placed into affinity publisher as a master which I then used to make the other variations of the labels...
  5. Hi there, I'm designing a batch of labels for a friend. I have added moons into the design. The moons are vector graphics that I made and embedded into the design. However, even though I set the black in the images to the same across the design, the moons appear to have a slightly different tone of black to them. The document is set to cmyk and the blacks across the board should be c:30 m:30 y:30 k:100 Of course, there should only be one black tone in this design. I've attached a .pdf so you can see what I mean... Any help would be appreciated. Thank you! black_plum_and_rhubarb.pdf
  6. Thank you for the replies. Hi Bob, I've just tried saving it to quarter size, I reduced the dpi as well, but I'm hoping that since the design is mostly vector based that there shouldn't be a problem... Thanks again, fingers crossed the printers can do something with it. Not sure why you're not able to view the files Leigh... If I continue to have problems with it, I'll attach them to the thread.
  7. Hi there, What format should I save a large affinity design file to be sent to a printer and turned into a banner? I've been creating a banner for the local karate club, on and off, for some time now. I had to come onto this forum before regarding some issues with the stability of it, which have been sorted now... We've finally got it to where we like it, and would like to send it to the printer for a sample and ultimately printing. The banner is to be five metres wide and just under a meter tall. Every file I've sent them so far, they've been unable to open, has appeared pixelated or is too large for them to deal with... I've tried a .svg, .jpg and a .pdf. Please, can someone help? This might just kill me... I'll post links below to the dropbox files so you can take a look. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ff9qser123nsn1n/dojobannerprintvariant2.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/v49136o7yf9sfro/dojobannerprintvariant2.pdf?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/p4zbgyxlm15cx81/dojobannerprintvariant2.afdesign?dl=0 Thanks!!!
  8. That's great! Thank you, Chris_K. :D
  9. Hi, I'm having a problem where Affinity Designer persistently crashes on export. I'm trying to export a large banner graphic, but when I select .svg, .eps, or .pdf Affinity crashes. I've attached a crash report and a copy of the file I'm working on. I've tried running a diagnostic of my setup, but it didn't yield anything. I hope you can help... I've been working on this as a favour for a while now and need to get it finished for the local karate club soon, if I don't, I might end up as one of their punch bags. Thanks. pskidojobanner.afdesign Affinity crash report.rtf
