  1. Yes, I clicked, but it adds a node with these adjustment handles directly. Only when I move these handles to the node completely, I receive a sharp angle, instead of a curve. :-)
  2. Dear all, thank you very much for the quick and kind responses! :-D Unfortunately, the line only bends in a curve, when doing so, but I need a sharp angel, thus another sharp bend on the two roof lines. Edit: It worked! Thank you very very much!!!
  3. Dear all, I have a curve / line, created using the pen tool, representing a church tower. I now need to add two nodes, to make the tower look slightly different. Unfortunately i do not know how to add nodes to the existing "curve". Any hint would be highly appreciated. Thank you! :-)
  4. I am so happy for your comment and your help; and the example you provided is exactly what I want to achieve. But what ever I do, when I add a stroke it adds it to each element. As sson as I use the boolean add function, the whole design becomes black :-( Oh man, I am in trouble, I have to order the t-shirts and these will take 10 working days to be printed... :-o Nooooohooo! It was me! I forgott to remove the filling! - Works perfect! Thank you soooo much, gdenby!!!!! :-D
  5. Dear all, so I have finished a design that will be printed on grey T-shirts. I would love to add another small white outline around everything, but everything I try adds outlines to each and every single element so (for example) the blue lighting effect gets lost and the red and the black swoosh get an outline each, but I need one around everything. :-). I bet this is pretty easy to be done, but I don't know how...
  6. Many many thanks for your assistance, MEB! :) In the meantime I exported it as a JPG and sent it to the print shop. But now I have an even bigger problem with the flyer / folder from the same file. I try to copy and paste it in a predefined PDF or AI file from the print shop. but Designer hangs or crashes each and every time! I am totally in love with Affinity, but given the actual situation, I can not risk to start any further project, using Designer I'm afraid. :( Unfortunately I have sold my Adobe products already... Argh! Please restore my love for Designer somebody!!! :P That is going to be a loooooooooooong night...
  7. Thank you! :) Hopefully they will find the issue, as I have paid already for the printing and only have to upload the file now. I use PDF/X-1A, 300DPI, Color Space set to CMYK. I can make a screenprint of the settings if needed. ;)
  8. Thank you, MEB, have uploaded the file now. The Poster Artboard is the one that needs to be exported. :)
  9. Dear all, I have set up an artboard in Designer, that I now want to export as a PDF, as it will be printed as a poster. Unfortunately the PDF export crashed the program every time and after a reboot, the status bar runs to about 20% and wont move any further. I have already converted all my text sections to curves, but that won't help either. The complete Affinity file is 175 MB, so it would be a problem to upload, I'm afraid. :( Any idea someone?
  10. Nonsense! It was the background that made me think the inner circle would be filled, but it wasn't! Have a wonderful Sunday everybody! ;)
  11. Dear all, when using the Donut Tool, the outer circle and the inner part are being filled with the same color. So in my opinion, this would not be a Donut. Thus how do I remove the inner part or at least the filling, to make it a real Donut / Circle with an actual hole in it? Thank you! :)
  12. Dear Asha, thank you very much! :) I should have known this. I started the project based on a draft that will be used to print posters and handouts / leaflets. From the same source I created the web graphics. I guess I should have started a new project with new artboards for that instead. Will keep that in mind now. Thanks a lot Asha and have a great weekend! ;)
  13. Dear Paul, I left the setting untouched, thus "Use document settings". There are several profiles to choose from. I understand that "web coated" has nothing to do with the WWW, but with offset printing. So the only profile I can go for is CMYK. Would that be correct? Dear R C-R, I am using Firefox on Mac OS and did never have any issues. I totally understand that all this is caused by my lack of knowledge, but I am eager to understand and I already fell in love with Affinity Designer, so there is no way back! :D I now changed the Pixel format to RGB 8-bit and the ICC profile to Adobe RGB. That was the simplest sounding combination I could find. Weird thing is, that the file size of the exported JPG already shrunk to half it's size and the dimensions have been reduced by 1 and 3 pixels. :o OK, let's see... Yay! It works! Thank you, for pushing me into the right direction, the Stig and Hubert, öhm, I mean Professor Farnsworth! :D Thank you, guys!
  14. On the right side you can see the image that I exported as a JPG (Best Quality) from designer. On the left side you can see how it is displayed on a website online. Has anyone any idea where these differences are coming from? I have never ever experienced something like that before... When I download the image again, it turns back to the original colors. :(
  15. Thank you very much, JJ! :) I chose a different PDF format for export and were able to create PDF files that were matching my needs. Thanks a lot! I am truly in love with the Affinity products and totally love this forum and it's supportive members! Cheers!
  16. Now I changed the order of the lowest two layers (blue tint and photo) and now the PDF looks also good; aaaaaaannnnnnd, yep, is printing out just fine! :) Oh, nope, I just see that the front side is completely messed up now, already as a PDF. Layers are shining through, but set back to PDF (flatten) seems to correct this issue.
  17. I just chose the "PDF for Print" option and now the front side is printed correctly. The picture background (photo) on the inside is still missing on the PDF though.
  18. Thanks, MEB! I stuck to the tutorial on exporting files. I chose PDF/X-4 exactly like in the video. I did not change anything to the setting. Should I?
  19. Dear all, pleeeeaaaase help. I have finally finished the design for my leaflets that should already have been printed days ago. Now I exported the artboards to pdf documents and printed them out. Unfortunately the printout differs from the pdf in case of the front side (the one with the blue soabpox running down the hill) where the text area's background is printed out in plain white instead of a text area with a background. :( Then for the other side, the pdf differs from the artboards in Designer, as you can see on the second screen print attached. Slowly but surely I am getting in big trouble and badly want to finish this part of the project. Of course, this is all voluntary and free time work, but nevertheless, we have to spread the leaflets now. So any hint would be highly appreciated. Thank you very much!
  20. Achso, randabfallend.
