FINALLY! I did the View> Studio> Reset Studio before this, but this time I tried something new. I clicked on Hide Studio because I saw that it was checked. I am not sure how it got clicked with a check mark. I clicked it again, and then hit Reset Studio. Finally, my layers panel was back. Much more useful app with a Layers Panel. Thank you. -
Hi Advanced Member, I tried to do what you suggested. When I did, I clicked on the option for "Find in Layers Panel", and the menu disappears without revealing the Layers Panel. Have you ever heard of this before?

Hi Advanced Member, I cannot find my layer panel in AD. How can that happen? What can I do to correct it? I am about ready to uninstall the program and reinstall it. Do you think that this would help. I am using a Mac Power book MacBook Pro, (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015) with a 2.5 GHz Intel Core i7 and 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 memory. Thanks for your help in advance.

What do you do if your layers panel is not visible or not working? I cannot use my layers panel, and that really handicaps anything that I can do with this app. -
Actually, the photo side of Affinity works like most of the photo apps so the manual is less needed. The Affinity Design is even more complex, and more unusual. A user manual for that would be greatly appreciated. It would be nice to be able to search this blog to find certain topics too. Is there a search function that works?

I am completely baffled as to why my layers panel is missing in each persona in my Affinity Designer apt. I have tried everything that I can think of to recover it. It had such a layers panel when I first started using it, but now seems to not have one. I have tried separated mode, and turned it off. I have tried creating layers, and probably have been successful doing it with the menu. However, I am not sure of what layers there are since I have no LAYERS PANEL. It has caused no end of frustration, and is the only thing that really bothers me about this otherwise excellent apt. Help please. I have attached a screen shot of what I have to work with in the apt.
