  1. There is no auto save in Affinity Designer. I appreciate the saved file in the event of a crash or power outage, but I don't see why my working files can't be saved every 30 seconds or so. It's far too easy to do a 'save as' without saving the file you were working on previously and losing the work that was done in the previous file. Given that auto-saves are standard across mac OS, you are setting your users up for pain by not following that pattern.
  2. For me, this has to be the greatest iPad app ever. I have been using graphics apps since the late 80s and to get a graphics app of this caliber on the iPad is amazing. Both raster and vector with the pencil surpasses expectations. There is so much about this app that is right. At work I have to use Illustrator which back in the day was the shit. But now it’s so dead it’s funny. Affinity Photo for the iPad is one of the best graphics apps right now and I am dying to meet the genius with the vision for this app. Props to the awesome folk making this app. Well F**king done.
  3. Dearest Affinity Team, been using and loving Affinity so thanks heaps for that. One thing I feel could be improved is the way the colour palate states are displayed. When I work with swatches of colours, it would be great if, when selecting a colour, the colour palate always showed the last used state. For example, if I have used the swatches palate for selecting a colour, the next time I select a colour, the swatches palate is the one that is displayed. Or if I have selected a colour using the HSL colour picker, then the next time I select a colour, the HSL colour picker displays. Currently, I seem to be having to choose the swatches palate every time I choose a colour for a line or fill because the colour palate seems to default to one of the colour pickers. The eye dropper works well, but I think you could save people time by activating the colour upon selecting the colour. So rather than selecting a colour with the eye dropper and then activating it, selecting the colour also activates the colour. That's the convention for eye dropper UX. Thanks for everything, Dallas
