Why? What is the rationale behind this dogma? There is a saying in my mother tongue which says: "Whoever can do more, can do less". In other words, when your software can handle 16-bit, it seems obvious it should handle 1-bit. Isn't it normal for users (and non-users, for that matter) to think that way?
Really curious. I miss 1-bit support quite often.
Please add finally 1 Bit Tiff (at least export in Photo) Support!

I'll repost here what I've mistakenly written in an old V1 feedback thread.
It's easy for someone who never needed 1-bit depth to overlook just how incredibly powerful, practical and ubiquitous 1-bit images are. Affinity should support that in, out and through.
