One workaround I've just found while using a Samsung S9+ tablet is the use of superdisplay - https://superdisplay.app/ This does need a windows laptop to connect to with affinity installed, since you're basically accessing the windows desktop via the tablet But I've found it works really well ether via usb cable or wifi and using the samsung pen just as a mouse.
